Upcoming Neuroscience for All Events
What Is Neuroscience for All?
Brain Chats
Brain Chats are an opportunity to interact with UAB experts in neuroscience. They are every Saturday at 11 AM at Avondale Library.
Brain Chats are 1 hour long, and give you an opportunity to hear a short talk about a neuroscience topic, along with informal chats with our experts about their topic. Previous topics include Alzheimer’s Disease, the impact of pollution on brain health, the impact of art therapy on the brain, and others. Come join us!
Information about the next scheduled Brain Chat is Here.

Brain SNACKS
SNACKS= a short and sweet way to educate the lay public.
This includes: tabling and offering hands on demos at outreach events and creating a calendar of events happening around the area and attending.
We are starting out with the materials and demos we have for Brain Awareness week, based on the Five Senses.
Brain Awareness Week
Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. The goal of BAW is to organize events/activities that share the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives. Brain Awareness Week 2025 events will be held at McWane Science Center on March 26-29, 2025!
Brain Bites
There are a lot of people at UAB who care about making Neuroscience accessible for all. Every semester, we meet to discuss how we can work together to let our larger community know about the brain! We start each Brain Bites session with a fast and fascinating15 minute talk that’s relevant to public science outreach. Then, we eat cookies, drink tea, and spill the tea about upcoming projects.
